Year 8’s Geography Trip To Llandudno – Media Team Report

Category: Geography, Media Team, News, Students write, Trips

On Tuesday the 14th, Year 8 took a coach to an exciting trip to Llandudno to make up for their missed-out opportunities during the normal school year.

In this trip, we had lots of fun looking around the sites of Llandudno, which included beautiful seaside sceneries, mountains (like the famous Great Orme and Little Orme) and Victorian and Edwardian inspired buildings (which included many hotels!).

During the trip, Year 8 were given a booklet to fill in to guide them through the history and surroundings of Llandudno. They were asked to walk around the seaside in small groups, and fill in a small workbook, which would later help them with their understanding of the current Geography topic- ‘Picture Postcard’. They did many activities such as identifying different age groups in Llandudno, learning about the boost in Llandudno’s economy and looking at what could possibly be built in a site to attract tourists. And most importantly, they were able to have ice cream in the end!

Overall, it was a very fun and educational trip for the Year 8’s. Thank you to the Geography department for organising this wonderful opportunity!
