The National Careers Challenge Grand Final 2023

We are delighted to share with you that for the second year in a row, Altrincham Grammar School for Girls has won the National Careers Challenge. Our amazing Year 9 enterprise students made their way to the Birmingham ICC to take part in the national competition.

The 9-3 group included Sofia, Isla, Sameeha, Lujayne, Anna and Joulia.

Over 40,000 students take part from years 7, 8, 9 and 10 and they made it to the final 1000 entries on the day. Their pitch and confidence on the day was amazing and the judges were so impressed with their idea for a new compact travel makeup solution – called Enhance!

We are so proud of this group and their achievements.

The National Careers Challenge Grand Final 2022

On Thursday 7th July the stars aligned when a group of our Year 9 students attended The National Careers Challenge Grand Final at the ICC in Birmingham and won! It was an incredible victory with our team of 6 winning over the 57, 000 students that entered the competition from across the country. Our winners Bella, Kirandeep, Kalila, Sarah, Amy and Maia (9-3) impressed the judges out of the gate with a professional pitch for their ‘Safe Spots’ app! Designed by the team, this app would help young people feel safe when they are walking home alone. The enterprise team couldn’t be more proud. The students gave this their all and deserved to win. They also got to meet the host Jason Manford!
