Geography Trip 2nd March – Media Team report

Category: Geography, Media Team, News, Students write, Trips

Last Week, Year 9 went on a geography trip to Salford Quays which I one of the first geography trips we’ve had since the start of the year.

The day started off with a geography/ history lesson on the previous history of Salford Quays and the regeneration of it which has given way to a place full of economic growth. After that we entered the coaches and began out ride to the Quays. When we got off the coach, we all got to tour around while completing our surveys and even though the weather wasn’t pleasant it was a fun experience for all.

The first place on the store were the NV buildings which are in shape of the sails on ships inspired by the docks. The second attraction was Dock 9 and the Bridge which was originally in a different place but was moved by a ship and dropped in the place it’s in now. The day was filled with many amazing attractions. And also a nice trip to the Lowry theatre followed by a lunch at The Outlet Mall. Thank you to all the teacher who contributed and took us on this trip. It was an educational and enjoyable trip.
