Year 7-11 Reporting Absence (Illness)

Should you need to report your child’s absence, please use the ‘Report an Absence’ function on the My Child at School (MCAS) app, or alternatively use the absence phone line, dialling 0161 686 3011 and choosing option 3. 

Year 7-11 Special Leave of Absence

Should you need to request special leave of absence for your child during the school term due to exceptional circumstances or for participation in an extra-curricular activity, please use the ‘Report an Absence’ function on the web-based version of the My Child at School (MCAS) app.

If you go follow this link https://www.mychildatschool.com/MCAS/MCSParentLogin in your internet browser and log in as you would on the app, the reporting absence button will be accessible. 

You will receive a confirmation email when the report has been sent successfully and a notification via the MCAS inbox to confirm wither that the request has been approved or rejected with reasons.

6th Form Absence

For appointments and/or illness, please call the 6^th Form on 0161 686 3012, or email sixthformadmin@aggs.bright-futures.co.uk

For any requests that are not related to illness/appointments, the student should collect a pink ‘Leave of Absence’ request form from the Sixth Form office, or Reception. The completed form should be handed in to the 6^th Form Office.

Please do not use the online forms for 6^th Form requests.
