Last week, our school held the annual Senior Recital, an exhibition of all our wonderful GSCE and A-level students’ work. It was fabulous to listen to the variety of compositions (by AGGS students!) and pieces, as well as the additional performances of Chamber Choir and String Orchestra.
Chamber Choir started the concert with a soulful piece called Eternity as well as a traditional Russian folk song. After that, the GCSE and A-Level students took over and the performances were filled to the brim with talent!
All the instrumental pieces were so skilfully played, and the compositions were to a very high level, quite inspiring actually. The songs which were also sang were done so beautifully, the voices reaching every inch of the hall, and really were very impressive.
To finish, String Orchestra performed Brandenburg Concerto no.3 by Bach, drawing the concert to a close. It was a wonderful concert to be part of, and was definitely enjoyed very much by both students and audience.
A huge thank you to everyone for their support, and especially to Ms Mayall for organising it!
