National Spelling Bee Success

We are delighted to share with you the amazing success of our MFL Spellers who ventured down to Cambridge University on Monday 27th June for the National Spelling Bee Competition.

Meghpori C (German), Maisie S-C (French) and Jane B (Spanish) took part in an extremely exciting national final in which 170 regional finalists competed for the coveted National trophies in German, French and Spanish Spelling. Competitors were given a minute to correctly translate and spell as many words as they could in German, French or Spanish. Competition was extremely high and tension and excitement were palpable but Meghpori, Maisie and Jane remained calm throughout.

We were delighted that all their efforts were rewarded and Meghpori came first for German and Jane came second for Spanish. This is an amazing achievement , congratulations to them all!
