In the afternoon on 4th July, an exciting event took place in the food-tech room. Earlier on, Year 9 were tasked with making a dish that originated from either France, Spain or Germany and evaluate their method and organisation in the language of the country. Out of all the entries, 10 were chosen as finalists, and they were to make their dishes again, this time in school.
In my opinion, it was an amazing opportunity to make a new dish that I have never made before from scratch, and overall, it was an enjoyable afternoon. It was really nice to get to taste the food others made too, according to one of the participants.
It was a close competition but there had to be a winner-huge congratulations to Sarah!
Well done to all those who participated and submitted an entry. Thank you to Year 10 Language Ambassadors for judging the competition and special thanks go to Mrs Clutton, Mrs McIntosh and Miss Bown, for organising and helping in the afternoon.
