AGGS takes part in the Worlds Biggest Coffee Morning

On Friday, 27th September, the charity committee held a bake sale to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

An amazing number and array of cakes were brought in by students in a steady stream on Friday morning. Plus some of the MFL bake-off entries were also kindly donated. Mrs Clutton also donated a tray of delicious chocolate gateau slices that she had made on a course the day before.

There were 5,141 coffee beans in the jar, kindly donated by Costa coffee in Altrincham. (Mrs Benson in MFL won, as she had the closest guess at 5,212)

10-3 won the ‘guess the weight of the cake’ competition, as their guess was the most accurate.

A fabulous £502 was raised just from the cake sale and on behalf of all the students and staff we would like to thank the charity committee for organising such a successful event and also everyone who donated any tasty treat!
