Year 9: deduce– arrive at (a fact or a conclusion) by reasoning; draw as a logical conclusion. “little can be safely deduced from these figures”

Year 10: deviate– depart from an established course. “you must not deviate from the agreed route”

Year 11: differentiate– recognize or ascertain what makes (someone or something) different. “children can differentiate the past from the present”

Year 12: dichotomy– a division or contrast between two things that are or are represented as being opposed or entirely different. “a rigid dichotomy between science and mysticism”
