Category: Achievement, Design & Technology, News

The Schools Starpack Packaging Design Awards are designed to encourage students to take up a career in the exciting world of consumer packaging design.

Open to pupils and students currently studying at Key Stage 4, GCSE’s, AS/A2, BTEC Levels 2/3 and NCFE programmes, and now in their sixteenth year, the schools awards form part of the Annual Starpack Awards programme which also includes the Starpack Industry Awards and the Student Starpack Packaging Design Awards for Colleges and Universities.

Packaging is an industry that is around us every day but one that we take little notice of. Look around you – in the supermarket, in your home, in your school – every item has arrived in a package and outer packaging used for transportation. Packaging has three main functions Preserve, Protect and Promote

Zara B and Kirsten M won silver awards and Grace P won a bronze award. Elena S and Roshni P received a special commendation.

All the year 10 students who entered received excellent feedback from the judges and created outstanding products.
