MFL Spelling & Translation Bee Success

You may remember that before the holidays, several of our phenomenal Y8 and Y10 linguists made it through to the National Finals of the Spelling Bee and Translation Bee competitions that should have taken place during lockdown last year.

I’m thrilled to let you know that Rameen M (8-7) achieved 4th place in the German finals of the Spelling Bee. This is an incredible achievement – nationally there were over 30,000 competitors across the French, German and Spanish competitions.

We enjoyed further success in the Translation Bee, with Anny (10-3) winning the competition, securing 1st place in German, whilst Antara (10-6) and Diya N (10-5) achieved 2nd and 3rd place respectively in Spanish. Over 17,000 pupils competed across the three languages.
