Food and Nutrition this Spring Half Term

Category: Curriculum, Design & Technology, Food, News, Publicity

Well done again to all my students for all their hard work this term. It has been lovely to be back in our newly decorated room creating some amazing dishes and bakes. Thanks again to the caretakers for all their hard work decorating and updating the learning environment for us all to enjoy. Year 11 have completed their practical assessment. Year 10 have been focusing on time plans, working under pressure to produce combinations such as curry and home made naans and fajitas with homemade wraps in under one hour. Year 9 have enjoyed making dishes with different sauces including chicken and leek pie, sweet and sour and enchiladas. Year 8 have been making their own puff pastry for pasties and year 7 learning to use a piping bag to decorate their cup cakes with beautiful swirls of butter cream. It is time to move to another subject in technology now, however I hope you all carry on cooking at home and continue to develop and learn new skills. I look forward to working with some of you again next year. Happy Easter.

Love Mrs. Clutton
