The Art department has been busy curating new displays around Fairlie.
This includes an exciting new framed gallery wall in the main reception celebrating a variety of student work.
Included in the corridor displays are work from Year 7 Indian Art ,8 Birds and 9 Fabulous Fashion alongside GCSE and A’level work which can be viewed around F16 & F17 and on the tech stairs.
Boards have been themed to show examples of Architecture, Portraiture and Natural Forms demonstrating how work is developed, techniques, artist research and final pieces.
The A’level board showing skulls and bones includes 3D work and for the first time there is a board titled ‘What’s in a sketchbook’ showing examples of how students utilise sketchbooks as part of the exam courses.
Watch this space for further new displays still in work exploring Art history and ‘Where art can take you’.
