Charity Committee Harvest Festival 2021

The AGGS Harvest collection was also a great success with over 15 cartons and 17 large shopping bags of food and sanitary products donated by our students. We donated our collection to the Mustard Tree which is a Manchester-based charity that works hard helping those suffering poverty and homelessness the community. Our Harvest also raised a cash donation that currently stand at £640 which will be donated to the Charity Crisis which is the UK national charity for people experiencing homelessness. The charity offers year-round education, employment, housing, and well-being services for those people struggling to get back on their feet.

As part of our harvest activities, we ran the ‘Donate the Most ‘ Competition for Year 7 and Year 8 and are happy to announce our winners:

For Year 7, the winner is 7-2 with 103 items, with runners up, 7-4 with 94 items and 7-5 with 88 items.

for Year 8, The winner is 8-3 with 63 items, with runners up, 8-7 with 47 items and 8-5 with 30 items.

We would like to say a huge thank you to all of year 7 and 8 for everything you were able to bring in. and Congratulations to forms 7-2 and 8-3 for donating the most items. A special prize awaits our winners.
