Trafford Schools Cross Country

AGGS provided a strong team of Cross Country runners in the Trafford Schools competition on the 20th January. Each team managed to provide some exceptional performances which led to some excellent finishes for the teams overall.

Y7 Girls Team finished 5^th overall

Y8/9 Girls Team finished 1^st overall

Top 10 finishers: Izzy H = 1^st Coco N = 4^th Francesca K =5^th Susanna T= 8^th Rose T-B= 9^th

Y10/11 Girls Team = 2^nd Overall

Top 10 finishers= Eleanor N= 3^rd, Keira M= 4^th, Bea W= 7^th

Y12/13 Girls Team= 1st Overall

Top 10 finishers: 3^rd= Charlotte L, 4^th =Olivia B, 5^th =Kirsten M, 6^th = Katie Y

Second Round Success

Those that finished in the top ten spots were invited to represent Trafford in the Greater Manchester Schools Cross Country finals.

In the Y7 race Sienna J had an amazing run and finished in 1^st place. In the Y8/9 race Izzy H finished 3^rd, Susanna T 22^nd, Coco N 23^rd and Rose T-B 37^th.

Eleanor N finished 10^th in the Y10/11 Race and Olivia B finished 18^th.

Congratulations to Izzy H who has been chosen to represent Greater Manchester in the English Schools Championships in Kent.
