Fandom Day

Category: News, School Council, Students write

School Council are proud to announce a total of £1,066.09 raised on our Wizarding Fandom Day.

On Friday the 18th of March School Council held a Wizarding Fandom Day. Students were encouraged to dress up in wizarding attire, their own clothes or wear school uniform. We showed the film “Howl’s Moving Castle” to year 7 and 8, ran a “lucky dip” with wizarding prizes and collected donations in form time and on parent pay to raise money. The proceeds from the day will go to the charities Centre point, which supports homeless young people, and Mermaids, which offers support to gender-diverse youth. Some of the funds will also be used by School Council to action projects that come up from the school community.

A big thank you to everyone who took part and donated, we hope you enjoyed the day!

Several prizes have been given out to students who dressed in wizarding attire. We are pleased to announce that Faye D is the winner of the Enchanted Egg prize!
