A message from Ayesha, Chair of ISOC:

Asalamualaikum (peace be upon you)!

For the last year, leading Islamic Society has been a real privilege. From charity events to our weekly Friday sessions, our Year 13 committee have worked really and it certainly has paid off.

Below are some highlights from Islamic Society 21-22:

With the summer term approaching, the year 13s have handed over to Alishba (Chair), Zahra (Vice Chair) and the year 12s through an electoral vote. We can’t wait to see what the year 12s get up to and are sure they will be great!

Leading ISOC for a year now has been a wonderful experience for me and our committee. Even with the early Covid restrictions, we have managed to build a beautiful community, of whom I will always be proud of. I hope my position as Chair has lead to unity and goodness around school, but it would not be possible without our supportive members, leaders and teachers.

I would like to thank you all for your support at each of our events and throughout the school year; our Islamic Society is nothing without it’s people. I would also like to say a huge thanks to all the teachers who have stood by us in our work, especially Mrs Charlton who undoubtedly has helped us in every aspect of our successes. Thank you Mrs Charlton for your kind support from me and the committee; it will always be appreciated and never forgotten.

Finally, I would like to say Ramadan Mubarak to all those observing. I wish everyone a blessed and wonderful rest of the month. Asalamualaikum (peace be upon you)!
