Ella’s Writing Success

Congratulations to Ella Y in year 9 who won ‘highly commented’ for her short story, ‘The Island of Solace’, in this year’s prestigious Northern Writers’ Awards. Her work was praised by judge Liz Flanagan for being ‘well beyond her years’. Ella was invited to a celebration evening in Newcastle with the other sixty-two winners, including established and debut novelists, screen writers, poets and non-fiction writers. We wish Ella every success with her writing.
