National Reading Championships

On Tuesday 21st March, the AGGS reading squad had a great morning showing off their knowledge of books. They competed against 25 other teams from 14 schools in Greater Manchester and Merseyside and Team A came in at a well-deserved 3rd place.  Mr Dilly, the quiz master was taken with our pupils’ enthusiasm.  As well as being prolific readers, it turns out that Kristina and Tumininu are also ace cheerleaders!  He has also decided to author a book called Betty Hemsi and the Sloth.

Congratulations again to our reading squad ; Betty (9-7), Annika (9-6), Sameeha (9-3), Evie (8-1), Kristina (8-5), Tumininu (8-6), Aleeza (8-6), Leddra (8-1), Subayah (7-7), Eva (7-6) and Eileen (7-6)!
