Book Illustration Competition

Thank you for all the entries submitted to the book illustration competition. The organisers and judges, Saniya K. (9-4) and Elizabeth W. (9-3) were extremely impressed with all the illustrations and thought they were all fabulous! The winners are:

 1st place: Ella W. (9-5) for her digital drawing inspired by Elizabeth Lim’s Six Crimson Cranes.

2nd place: Nandhana M. (7-4) for her coloured pencil sketch of Frances Hodgson Burnett’s The Secret Garden.

In joint 3rd place: Hafsa A S. (9-4) for a watercolour painting of The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins and Amelia O’ C. (9-2) for a digital drawing of The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides.

Special commendations to:

Sai N M. (7-7) for her sketch of The Last Bear by Hannah Gold; Mrunmayee J. (7-7) for a digital drawing created in MS Word of The Goldfish Boy by Lisa Thompson; and Manni T. (7-3) for her portrait of Harry Potter.

We would like to thank Mr. Henderson for bringing his illustration expertise to the judging panel. All entries are on display in the Main School Library.
