Non-Fiction November 2024

National Non-Fiction November is the Federation of Children’s Book Groups’ annual celebration of all things factual. The whole month now celebrates all those readers that have a passion for information and facts and attempts to bring non-fiction celebrations in line with those of fiction.
Each year, at this time, I ask your teachers to recommend non-fiction they’ve loved so I thought I would share with you, this year’s selection.
Miss Devlin recommends: The Great White Bard: How to Love Shakespeare While Talking About Race by Fariah Karim-Cooper & Shakespeare: The Man Who Pays the Rent by Judi Dench.
Ms Gill recommends: Ultra-processed People: Why Do We All Eat Stuff That Isn’t Food…and Why Can’t We Stop? By Chris van Tulleken.
Mr Murray recommends: Vulture Capitalism: Corporate Crimes, Backdoor Bailouts and the Death Of Freedom by Grace Blakeley.
Miss Horan recommends: Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That can’t Stop Talking & One of Them: An Eton College Memoir.
All these books are available in the school library to borrow, along with lots more, new non-fiction.
