Junior Choir Set to Perform Sia’s Snowman at Christmas Concert

Junior Choir are busy preparing to delight friends and family with a magical performance of Sia’s Snowman at this year’s Christmas concert. With its heartwarming lyrics and nostalgic piano melody, the song has become a modern holiday favorite since its release in 2017.

Snowman, written by Sia and Greg Kurstin, carries a poignant message about treasuring fleeting moments. The song became a global sensation after a TikTok challenge in 2020 and remains one of the most-streamed Christmas songs on Spotify.

This year, the choir is at its largest, with over 90 students from Year 7 and Year 8 joining together for weekly rehearsals led by music teacher Ms. MacAulay. The performance will be made even more special with accompaniment from our talented in-house band, Navigation Road.

Junior Choir hopes that their rendition will capture the spirit of the season, spreading joy and holiday cheer to all who attend.

The Christmas Concerts will showcase the wide range of musical opportunities and talent at AGGS and will take place on Tuesday 10 December and Wednesday 11 December, at 6:30 p.m. in the Main Hall.
