Y7 Brass workshop

The sun shone whilst our Y7 students listened to a wonderful workshop given by the Cavendish brass quintet on the front lawn and it was so great to hear live music being performed again at AGGS.

The students were treated to a wide range of music arranged specially for brass quintet, from Mozart’s Ave Verum to Bernstein’s West Side Story and the Lion King, and learned more about the trumpet, cornet, french horn, trombone and tuba. 30 students have opted to try a free taster lesson on a brass instrument following the workshop, which is excellent news.
