Minduli’s Singing Success

Category: Music, News

Over the summer, Minduli, Y11, entered a competition called the New Talent British International Youth Music competition organised by The British Music Society, Royal Academy of Music and the Amy Yuan Academy.

There were over 400 entries from 28 countries from ages 4-30. Minduli has just heard that she has been awarded the Virtuoso Prize for Voice which is the overall winner of the voice category. She has been awarded a cash prize, the opportunity to perform at the Royal Academy at the award ceremony and a 1-1 masterclass with Professor Julie Kennard a former professor of Singing at the RAM who was also the adjudicator for the competition.

This is an incredible achievement, particularly given the lack of opportunity for face to face lessons and singing opportunities over the last 18 months.

Please do have a look at the links below and listen to her singing. She is a fabulous student and ambassador for the school and Music Department.
