Wake up and choose happiness

It’s been a few weeks since BeeWell Day but it doesn’t mean it’s still not important. BeeWell Day is an new initiative co-founded by young people to bring more awareness to the wellbeing of youths in Greater Manchester. Students from AGGS had been selected as a focus group for some research which will form the basis of a larger survey around young people’s mental health. The highlight of BeeWell Day for AGGS was when the yellow Beewell Bus visited. Students from each year, with Posca pens in hand and smiles on their faces joined together and wrote positive quotes and words of encouragement on the sides of the bus. The bus visited a number of schools within Greater Manchester before being stationed in Manchester City centre at the launch event. It is hoped that the bus will show young people around Manchester that their mental health truly matters and provide a platform for wider discussion around young people’s mental health.

Thank you to everyone who participated it was truly a wonderful sight and well done to 9-5 for having the most representatives. If you’re struggling with mental health and well being don’t be afraid to speak out, as one of the quotes on the bus said ‘it does get better’.
