To end our Charitable events for the year, AGGS organized Dec 17^th for our Christmas Jumper Day where staff and students were invited to wear festive jumpers in return for a donation which was sent to CRY (Cardiac risk in the Young). We were not disappointed as jumpers every colour of the rainbow appeared which cheered everyone up and readied them for our Grand Finale which was our Charity Day on Tuesday December 21st. Here, students and staff were again invited to wear their own clothes while making a donation which went to the Manchester’s Women’s Aid

Charity Day also was also when we held our Talent show. For weeks many students had been working hard on their talent show entries and on Tuesday we got to enjoy and celebrate the very best.

Our winner with most votes was Aisya from 8-2:

Zabrina & Disha from 10-1 in 2nd place and Freya from 10-3 in 3rd place:

Advent Calendar Design Competition

For our Christmas Advent Calendar competition we were delighted with the entries

The focus of this competition was Re-cycling, and we were really impressed with the entries

1st place and winning entry; Light-up Picture frame with ribbon and ivy, ‘Christmas Advent’ by Geethika in 8-4

2nd place with Tambourine design with can pulls, ‘A Christmas Countdown’ by Semi Oyekan in 7-1

3rd place with design in Papier Mache and Bottle Tops , ‘The 12 days of Christmas’ by Amelia O’Callaghan in 7-2

The total amount raised will be announced in the new year.
