Chloe M – Selected to Represent the Northwest at Rowing

Chloe (Year 11) has been selected to represent the North West at the Junior Inter-regional Rowing Regatta (JIRR) event in Nottingham in April.

Chloe rows at Trafford Rowing Club, based in Walton Park. Last weekend she represented the club at the North-West regional time trials where North West clubs race each other for the opportunity to compete at the JIRR.

She has subsequently been selected to represent the north-west in this national regatta which is the start of the international pathway. It is a massive achievement and the club and school are very proud of her.

Chloe started rowing after AGGS put out a row start invitation from the club back in 2019 and having gone along to try out something new, she immediately fell in love with rowing. She has shown real talent and dedication as she trains 5 times a week including some very early starts at the weekend.
We wish her luck with the race in April.
