On Thursday 3rd March 2022, the whole of Year 7 went to see the Hallé Youth Concert at Bridgewater Hall.
We left just a bit after Form Time, getting there at about 10:15. When we got off the coaches, we went straight up to our designated seats in the Hall. We were sat right in the middle. There were many other schools there, including a mix of primary and secondary schools.
At the start, the cameramen went around the room, displaying each school on the big screen at the front. Soon after, the orchestra started playing. They played many famous and great songs, like the Avengers Endgame, and Folk Music from all over the world.
There was even a piece that was narrated and shown, the Firebird. The speaker showed the story through props, including a small Golden Egg.
It was a lot of fun, with so many parts where we could join in, like when we all sang the Greater Manchester song and when we shouted “Jai Ho” along to his music.
We got back at about lunchtime, and we all had such a great time there! Thank you so much to the teachers who organized it!
