This term, our Y8 have worked hard to prepare for a new competition in MFL – Poésíæ. Every pupil in Y8 was invited to perform a poem in French / German / Spanish for the class competition. The six winning performances for each language went through to compete in the school competition. The competition was fierce, with some pupils choosing to memorise and recite their poems, some opting to perform a dramatic reading, and others choosing to use their computing skills to pre-record and edit their performances.
For the school competition, pupils were recorded performing for a second time and the top three pupils per language were chosen by our Language Assistants. These pupils will now have their performances entered into the global competition, where they will compete against other Y8 pupils from across the world.
