More Debating Success!

Category: Achievement, English, News

On Friday after school, six of our students competed in the English-Speaking Union’s Public Speaking competition, open to Year 9-11 students. Both of our teams did a fantastic job, discussing a wide range of topics including 24-hour news, prisoner voting rights, and introverts.

We are pleased to let you know that both our A and B teams made it through to the next round! Beating AGSB and Withington Girls.

Well done to them for this achievement, and a particular congratulations to Manni, a Y9 student who was our youngest competitor. Manni gave a 5-minute speech and responded to 6-minutes of challenging questioning.

Team A – Manni G Y9, Sami S Y11, Yiya Z Y11
Team B – Evie A Y11, Sonia Y Y11, Sreeja B Y10
