Charity Events at AGGS this December

Category: Charity, News, Students write

This December, there have been many charity events, including Christmas Jumper Day and the Talent show. With the festive spirit in full force, the Charity Committee has been very busy organising and helping to run events and charity collections.

On Friday 16th December, we held our annual Christmas Jumper day. Students and teachers alike donned their most merry jumpers, designs ranging from reindeer to sleighs and even to Santa! Everyone donated money on both ParentPay and in person to support the charity CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young). As well as helping a wonderful cause, Christmas jumper day also got us all in the festive spirit.

On Wednesday 21st December (our very own Charity Day), we held the Talent show. This year, the acts consisted of both singers and dancers and even a magician! Everyone had a great time watching the show and the Charity Committee would like to thank everyone involved in the Talent show, including Mr Carr, Mr Barry and all the students who bought a ticket and attended.

If you would like to read more about CRY’s mission or would like to further support them, you can visit their website here: https://www.c-r-y.org.uk/

Merry Christmas everyone and thank you for supporting charities throughout this year!
