String Orchestra to perform in MFY National Festival

We are delighted that String Orchestra has again been chosen to perform in the prestigious final of the National Festival of Music for Youth this year in Birmingham Symphony Hall on Sat 8^th July!

This is testament to the students’ commitment and practice and also Janet Janes’ inspirational leadership. Janet took over the String Orchestra here at AGGS in 1998 and continues in her unbeaten record of always taking through the orchestra to the finals.

The orchestra has this year been re-named Altrincham Grammar School String Orchestra as there are 5 students from AGSB now playing which is great to see.

String Orchestra will be performing their competition programme later this term in our Summer Serenade concert on Tue 4^th July.
