Four of our most talented scientists from KS3 & KS4 recently travelled to MMU to take part in the annual Royal Society of Chemistry ChemQuiz event. This event is the regional qualifier for the national Top of the Bench Competition.  The team of Yomna A-S (10-6); Heather R-S (9-5), Megan F (8-1) & Meghpori C (8-5)  navigated a tough competition that consisted of three sections; a demonstration lecture, followed by a comprehension exercise; a practical task and finally an eight round chemistry quiz. When all scores were in and added up their exceptional skills and teamwork saw them finish 2^nd out of the 19 teams, just behind a strong team from Manchester Grammar School.  This is a fantastic achievement in what is a prestigious and challenging event.  The students enjoyed the event immensely and were a credit to themselves and to the school.  Congratulations to them all!
